This is part II of the JSTMK series. Not many people picked up on the small play on words with the title and the plot, so I'll elaborate: The Desert Fox was the nickname of Fieldmarshall Erwin Rommel, a famous Nazi general from WWII. In 1942-43, he controlled the German Africa corps, and defeated many of the Allied Forces in north Africa. However, in the spring of 1943, he met his match by losing a decicive battle against General G.S. Patton. When the battle was over, Patton was glad to have beaten his rival, but his celebration was cut short when he learned that Rommel wasn't actually present at the battle. One of Patton's officer's told him, "If you've defeated Rommel's forces, then technically you've defeated Rommel". In my cartoon, Bowser sent in his robot clone to cover for him. The word faux is another word for "fake", and since it was a "faux" Bowser in place of the real one, I called this episode "The Desert Faux", since it's based around the famous desert battle of '43!
The music is from Robocop, Hogan's Heroes, and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. My personal favorite thing of this whole cartoon is how the music from "The Battle of Hoth" (Star Wars) synchs up perfectly with what goes on in this battle.
This cartoon premiered on Newgrounds.com on May 25th, 2005, but didn't get as high of ratings as Grassland Blitzkrieg. This is my personal favorite of the two.
